A St. Thomas Christmas: Bloom Eternal

A St. Thomas Christmas concert is a winter tradition for the entire University of St. Thomas community. This concert celebrates the Advent and Christmas season by drawing from both the familiar traditional carols and innovative contemporary selections.

The 34th annual St. Thomas Christmas unfurls with "Bloom Eternal." The concert honors the persistent hope and resilience of our community with over 200 student performers in Chamber Singers, Donne Unite, Liturgical Concert Choir, String Orchestra and Symphonic Wind Ensemble. The Brass Choir and Guitar Ensemble will perform prelude music at 3:45 P.M. and 7:15 P.M.  We are excited to share this event with you!

**NEW**  The St. Thomas Music Department and Center for the Common Good, in partnership with Catholic Charities Twin Cities, will collect adult size, waterproof, neutral-colored mittens and gloves at this event.  They will be offered throughout the season to community members in need.  Thank you for your generosity, as you are able.

*As many performance venues have done, Orchestra Hall has a Covid safety policy of requiring masking and either proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test within 72 hours of entrance for all guests, performers, and staff.  Please see www.minnesotaorchestra.org/safety for details.

To get in the Christmas spirit, please enjoy some of our previous concerts!

A St. Thomas Christmas: Respite and Grace is a gift to our comunity from 2020.  Adapting to the pandemic and using cutting edge research in music performance, faculty led students in safe ensemble experience and concert recordings, with reflections on their experiences and what it means to still make music in such times.
