String Day Festival

We invite students and directors to participate in music performance and clinic opportunities presented by the Department of Music at St. Thomas. This event will feature rehearsals, sectionals or lessons, masterclasses along with St. Thomas student panels and more. 

Students will participate in a full day of instruction by St. Thomas faculty.

Orchestral string players will participate in rehearsals, clinics and masterclasses given by our nationally and internationally renowned music faculty for a modest fee of $10 per student. Directors will have the opportunity to participate in continuing education presentations. 

Details:

  • Nomination Deadline: Monday, February 14, 2022
  • Date: Monday, March 7, 2022
    • Registration: begins at 8:30 a.m.
    • Rehearsal: begins at 9 a.m.
  • Student participation fee: $10 (includes lunch, dinner, sectionals with professional instructors and more)
  • Public concert: 7 p.m., free

Directors - please complete one form per student nomination or for multiple nominations, compile the requested information (see below) and send it to music@stthomas.edu.

Please note that the University has mandated vaccines for visitors on campus. As such, we will be requiring vaccines for all participants for this event.
