The original seven liberal arts included arithmetic, geometry, and astronomy. But math and science have changed in many ways since antiquity. Today it might seem a little forced to claim that science is a liberal art. Why is that? Should it matter to Christians?
To answer those questions, we need to explore two others: "What is a liberal art?" and "What is science?"
Join Dr. Peter Distelzweig, associate professor of philosophy and Catholic studies, to explore answers to these questions. Learn why it’s important for Christians to recover a lively sense of science as a liberal art.
